About Me
My name is Eric Griffin, better known as Griff, and through empathetic listening I have the unique ability to provide clear, positive, and actionable insights to complex problems. I’ve had an entrepreneurial passion ever since I was 8 years old, and because of that passion I’ve co-founded a number of companies throughout my life. My current “day job” is managing Mobile Outfitters and GSW Real Estate in Philadelphia. I am also a board member of Scopic Software, an international software development firm, and of Alpha Abstract Agency, a real estate settlement company in Philadelphia.
I enjoy helping not-for-profit organizations with my for-profit experience to help them raise more dollars, and make more happen with the dollars they raise (after all, revenue matters just as much even when your goal isn’t profit). I am a board member of the Philadelphia chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a non-profit network exclusively for entrepreneurs, and a National Advocates Council member at Back on my Feet Philly, a non-profit combatting homelessness through the power of running.
In my spare time I love to run, cook, travel with Jen, bond with our dogs Olli and Roo, and our cat Kitty, garden, wood work, and make killer espresso. You can read some of my thoughts about life and business on Quora and the MO Blog, and check out some interviews and articles here.
My Core Values
Responsive. Integrity. Grateful. Humble. Transparent.
Talents & Passions
-
I enjoy looking at products and services from the end-user’s perspective and coming up with constructive feedback that takes them from good to amazing. Amazing products get more people to buy, get them buy more often, and get them to passionately tell their friends to buy.
-
Automating manual processes with inexpensive software and platforms. It’s amazing what can be done easily that most organizations aren’t doing. I am also highly experienced creating custom solutions and managing overseas software development.
-
I excel at looking around corners to strategically avoid future risks, then making a game plan that results in sustainable growth. I also like making frameworks and using core values to take decision making from “it’s in my bosses head” to “here’s how we decide”.
-
The key to sales is the right combination of products, customers, and sales channels. I have fun coming up with the right USPs that resonate and make people want to buy. I’m a firm believer that anything can sell well with the right pitch and sales channel.
-
My love for design and user experience drive a passion for marketing. Creative direction, brand identity, creating unique selling points, brand messaging, print & digital collateral design, web development, marketing automation, and lead generation are my strengths. I’m also an expert in HubSpot setup and integration.
-
Culture is the secret weapon to business, and sadly most organizations pay no attention to it. Every company has a culture - you either have a culture by default, or a culture by design. If you haven’t designed your culture, and everyone at the company isn’t crystal clear on what that culture is, then the many actions happening every day are not driving you towards your vision. I enjoy collaboratively creating cultures and/or making culture come alive throughout an organization.
